This album is an excellent synthesis of modern electric blues and jazz. Some of the great musicians are here. The movie The Hot Spot was a directorial comeback for Dennis Hopper and the cast sizzled with the sultry Jennifer Connelly, the bitchy Virgina Madsen and Don Johnson at his hunkiest.
